SSE – QA

QA enterprise-grade products, Develop Test Framework and Test Automation Suites. Provide technical QA leadership

• 3+ Years hands-on Technical QA experience, minimum 2 year in Software Development or Test Automation function
• Solid practical understanding of Software Quality Assurance and Software Engineering concepts (Risk Based testing approach and SCRUM/XP/Kanban)
• Strong experience on test design techniques, draft, execute, maintain functional test cases and bug tracking tools, procedures around logging, tracking bugs. Preferred Mind Mapping, Testlink, JIRA
• Solid understanding of how browser specific internet traffic works in modern web applications, including HTTP, SSL and JSON
• Proficient in UI and web service based test automation frameworks, Preferred selenium webdriver, cucumber/jbehave, junit/testng ,citrus ,SOAP UI, Rest Express
• Performance test planning, scripting, running and report analyzing skills such as JMeter (preferred),LoadRunner, webLOAD etc..
• Solid practical Knowledge on at least one programming language such as Java(preferred), PHP, Ruby,C#, Javascript etc…
• Ability to Integrate test suite with continuous integration system such as Jenkins(prefered)/Bamboo and practical background with Continues Delivery/Deployment.
• Ability Communicate the product quality and code coverage through metrics such as experience on use of SonarQube and Jacoco (preferred)/Atlassian Clover/Cobertura etc…
• UI and API test case development and testing
• Web Service design (SOAP/WSDL and/or RESTful), development and testing
• Apache/Tomcat or Weblogic or WSO2
• Experience with Agile SDLC, behavior driven development and appreciation of Devops function
• Familiar with Virtualized Linux deployments and AWS, GCP
• Experience with WSO2 Carbon platform
• Background in Telecommunications domain with relevant experience with a vendor or MNO
• Enterprise Java Developer – J2EE and multi-threaded J2SE is a added advantage
• Source code control (GIT)
• Knowledge on Build Automation tools Ansible/Puppet, k8s, Container based deployments will be an added advantage

Education

• IT or an Engineering Degree from a reputed University
• preferably an ISTQB certification

Responsibilities and Scope

• Ownership of product test plans and creating test suite for product
• Participate in complete SDLC and ensure delivery of releases with minimum defects
• Work closely with developer team to develop and put in place automated testing framework to ensure continuous integration
• Ensure developer team adopts best practices to ensure code quality and continuous improvement process to minimize defect
• Take lead on Product testing and drive juniors
